Students

Because every student needs a faith of their own, FUSE (the Student Ministries of Calvary Church) serves and connects middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students through worship, small groups,  and service experiences. It’s our purpose to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, equipping them for life in His world. Our commitment is that FUSE is a place where students will be cared for, known, and belong.

What it means to be FUSE

United Together | The Good News of Jesus is transformational to our community, too. Ours is a place for peace, reconciliation and belonging.

Bonded to Christ | The Good News of Jesus is personally transformational. Our identity is anchored to our relationships with Jesus.

Living on Mission | The Good News of Jesus compels us to live intentionally, making His name known in our world.

Matt Behr, Fuse Student Ministries Pastor

Matt loves Jesus and he loves students. In 2020, Matt became the leader of FUSE because of his obvious commitment to the wellbeing of students, leaders and this ministry. After studying psychology at MoBap, he’s now working on an MABTS at Covenant Seminary. At home, Sydney (wife) and Willow (pup) are in his corner.

FAQs

At Calvary, we are convinced that faith sticks best in the context of the full community. So you’ll see students participating in weekend worship services, serving in our ministries and popping up all over each campus! FUSE guides students into both peer experiences and Calvary experiences - we want every student to know Christ and His church! Check out our campus pages (links above) to find out how we do this at each gathering.
While we commission only the best staff and volunteer leaders, every adult involved is background checked before being included. FUSE Pastors take their responsibility to train and lead their teams as a personal calling. Additionally, we are proactive about any concerns for the wellbeing of our students, and we’re prepared for emergency situations.
Parent Cue helps you win at home! This unique app helps families take their faith conversations further. This app reminds parents they have the most influence in their child’s life, coupled with tools to make the most of their time.

Students, follow @FuseMidRivers on Instagram. Parents, you’re invited to our Facebook Group. Video archives are at our YouTube.

Vesper is Latin for evening prayer service. FUSE gathers on Sunday evenings throughout the year for worship, teaching and groups.

We love Camps! FUSE features both Summer and Winter Camps. We also love missions! Our students undertake a variety of projects in a variety of locations during the Spring and Summer months.
