Deeply Formed

Deeply Formed

Deeply Formed is more than just a moment; it's a movement for our entire church—for each person—toward a deeper, more intentional life with Jesus. Together, we commit to being with Him, becoming like Him, and doing as He did. Whether you want to start by joining a Deeply Formed Discussion Group or taking a next step toward growth, there will be opportunities to grow deeper in your faith. When Jesus matters most, transformation follows. Let's continue this journey together!

What does it mean to be Deeply Formed?
  • Our confession is that Jesus is Savior and Lord, and we intend to experience the effect of his grace and the impact of his teaching in our everyday lives. Deeply Formed is a commitment to live purposefully as a Jesus-apprentice. We are committed to being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing as He did.
Start Your Journey in a Deeply Formed Discussion Groups
  • In a small, nonjudgmental group setting, consider adjusting your current rhythm of life to prioritize an intentional relationship with Jesus. Deeply Formed Discussion Groups are the starting point if you want to experience life with Christ more fully. Discussion groups recur every season (spring, summer, fall, and winter) and last for eight weeks. Discussion Groups will listed at the bottom of this page as they become available.
Jesus Matters Most in the Rhythm of Life
  • Deeply Formed moves people from good ideas (even good intentions) into good rhythms of life with Christ. After all, we follow Jesus in one of the most celebrated suburban settings in America. What needs does a suburban American Christian have? We have a deep need for the habits of our lives to unleash—and not distract from—our life with Christ.

After Completing a Deeply Formed Discussion Group...

  1. Live in the rhythm of life you developed through your Deeply Formed Discussion Group.
  2. Consider joining Grow Deeper experiences to enrich the various practices in your rhythm.

Practices

Within a Jesus-following rhythm of life are nine core practices, repeatable activities Jesus himself engaged and taught. These practices give structure to the rhythm of life you developed in your Deeply Formed Discussion Group.

The general rule with practices is start small and let each practice grow in time. Opportunities to refine and develop your experience of the nine practices dot the landscape of our calendar. Look for Grow Deeper experiences in the calendar events below as they become available.

Leading Others

Deeply Formed is a key commitment of our church. If you are comfortable leading group discussions, enjoy helping other people explore their faith experience, and are personally familiar with a Deeply Formed rhythm of life and the nine core practices, we would love to talk with you about leading Deeply Formed Discussion Groups and Grow Deeper experiences!  Email Rachel Sheets if you interested in taking a next step toward leadership.
