Embrace Special Needs Ministry
Calvary strives to provide an accepting environment where individuals with special needs can learn about Christ. We want to be there to Embrace people with special needs of all ages. We recognize the unique situations these families are in and want to do all we can to include all people in the ministry of the church.
This ministry is currently centered in the Mid Rivers Campus.
Here are some ways we can help:
Children - Birth through 5th grade
The children attend class for their age level. If they are in need of a buddy, one will be assigned. During the class they will have an engaging Bible lesson, with crafts, games, and activities. If during their class they get overstimulated, or need a break they can go to the sensory room with a buddy to reset.
Sixth through Eighth grade on Sunday Morning (68 FUSION)
Teens will attend 68 FUSION during 9 am service. If they need a buddy, one will be assigned.
FUSE - Sunday Nights 6-12th grade
The students attend worship and then break into small groups. We have an Embrace small group that meets together at this time.
Parents - We know that you need times of refreshing and fellowship to regain strength. We offer mom's nights out every other month, and dad's night out once a quarter. We also hold respite nights to give parents a date night together.
Family - We host activities for all Special Needs families to join together. This is a great way to get to know other families.
